Even though rain pushed the Orioles’ celebration of Jackie Robinson Day to April 16, fans do not have to wait to get their hands on Orioles 2014 #42 jerseys. The Orioles are auctioning off the autographed, game-worn commemorative jerseys they wore on Jackie Robinson Day. The auction will benefit the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation and the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
Jerseys begin at $150, and bidding ends at 11:59pm on April 22, 2014. The auction can be found at online (link in image below).
Additionally, fans will be able to bid on a single Orioles jersey (as well as every other Major League club) autographed by the entire team (link in image below). The auction ends at 9:00am on April 27, 2014, and proceeds will benefit the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
Last year, I was bemused that some players’ jerseys sold for so much more than others. I think I may have picked on Rudy Arias and my man (Who the Hell Is) Steve Pearce… we all make mistakes. So who will it be this year, Birdland? Who will be the top grossing autographed jersey, and who will bring in the bare minimum?
