The greeting card companies tell us that Valentine’s Day is a truly special time of year. One in which we try not to add emotional distance to our existing, government-mandated social distance.

Here at Bird’s Eye View, we know that Valentine’s Day can also be a difficult time. We know a thing or two about unrequited love. After all, we have desperately loved a baseball team that, by all accounts, has done precious little to love us back for the past 38 years.
