Announcing the BSRN
There’s been a Podcast War brewing in the Bird-o-sphere for the last few weeks. Bad blood formed between passionate podcasters, determined to prove that their show is tops, when it comes to Baltimore sports. To keep things from getting ugly, we agreed that we would settle this once and for all on August 1st. With that, it’s time to make an announcement:
Bird’s Eye View has banded together with some other Baltimore sports podcasts to form the Baltimore Sports Report Network. Our network puts the best Baltimore sports talk together in one place, and provides fresh, quality content every day of the week.
Working on the BEVys, and participating in Section 336’s Night at the Yard showed us how much better an experience we could provide by working together. We’re looking very much forward to working more closely with all of our new partners.
I know…. this is all so sudden. You must have questions – let me try to hit some off at the pass:
Q: Why a podcast network?
A: Misery loves company. It’s hard bringing good stuff to your earbuds every week! This way, we’re able to bring you more shows, more points of view, more complete Baltimore sports coverage. We’re big fans of these other shows, and think you should be too. If you’ve got enough of an attention span to spend some time with us each week, you will love these other shows.
Q: Where do I find this podcast network?
A: Please check out the BSRN at BaltimoreSportsReport.com/
Q: And who exactly is involved?
A: Here are the partners for the BSRN:
Q: Why “Baltimore Sports Report Network?” Did you guys get bought out by BSR or something?
A: First of all, no one would pay for this crap. The network is called BSRN because they were kind enough to take on the extra trouble. No, we’re still an independent show, producing our own content, maintaining our own site… making our own messes. Our show will be available here AND on the new BSRN section of Baltimore Sports Report. It’s the best of both worlds.
Before this Podcast War was settled, things got pretty ugly. We were pretty sure the guys from Section 336 were going to beat up the Orioles Spastics. Here at Bird’s Eye View, we’re lovers, not fighters.
