Double Play: Jones’ Comments
Welcome the first installment of Double Play. In this feature, we will provide two sides of an issue, trying to boil it down into two short, succinct sound clips. One side will be argued by one of the Bird’s Eye View guys, and the other will be presented by a guest.
In this Double Play, we will examine the validity and impact of Adam Jones’ comments regarding fans that trespass onto the field of play at a baseball game. If you were under a rock for the past 24 hours, here’s a recap:
I think the punishment needs to be a lot harsher and they should let us have a shot to kick them with our metal spikes on because it’s stupid,” Jones began. “You look like a jackass when you run on the field . . . I get it, you’re drunk and you want to be on Sports Center. Your [posterior] is going to jail with a fine, and you might not be allowed to come back to the ballpark. I remember a couple of years ago, one dude broke his ankle in Baltimore. I was laughing at him. I wish he shattered his femur because it’s stupid. It’s just plain old stupid. Anybody who does it, I wish the cops tase the living [excrement] out of them. I wish that.
In this week’s installment, we have Charlie Hoppes (@CharlieHoppes11) from Orioles Spastics arguing for Adam Jones and Scott from Bird’s Eye View arguing against Adam Jones.
