Leading Off
Did the Orioles’ loss to the Angels end their playoff aspirations? Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but things don’t look so hot for the boys from Baltimore. It was another do-or-die series in which they died. The club takes their west coast trip to Seattle, where they hope to silence fans’ criticisms of not signing Nelson Cruz by notching a series win, and hoping that the rest of the AL East falls asleep at the wheel.

It's been a nice run, but I think I'm ready for @SimplyAJ10 to go back to the high socks. #Orioles

A bird flew into the bullpen the other day so we threw some opened seeds to him for an hour. He came back today. Basically best friends now

Regardless of the O's improvement during the past two seasons, Baltimore has been and will always be a football town.

There are still too many games to play against the Jays and Yanks to say the season is over. But time is running out.

Interview with Hugh Sisson, Founder of Heavy Seas
The boys get a guest appearance from Hugh Sisson, the Founder of Heavy Seas, to discuss the release of their newest beer, “Fielder’s Choice”. “Fielder’s Choice” is an American Premium Lager at 5% ABV.
Heavy Seas Beer and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation partnered to create “Fielders Choice,” a limited edition beer in honor of the 20th anniversary celebration of Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. breaking Lou Gerhig’s most consecutive games played (2,131) record. With each case sold, Heavy Seas will make a donation to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, helping at-risk youth in local communities.
In addition to the “Fielder’s Choice” brew, fans are encouraged to celebrate the 20th anniversary by using the hashtag #BaltimoresBest on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram along with a photo of themselves with their favorite Cal-related memorabilia, while responsibly enjoying their favorite Heavy Seas beverage. Entry remains open until September 30, at which time one Grand Prize winner will receive a Cal Ripken signed can on “Fielder’s Choice” beer. Also, Heavy Seas will award tour passes to the best photo each week leading up to the end of the contest.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
