Leading Off
The Orioles won a big series in Detroit, and head off to Boston to challenge for the AL East division lead. This is a very good time to watch Orioles baseball. Meaningful baseball in September? You got it.

As the Rotation Turns
Chris Tillman is back… now what? We discuss the return of Tillman – how he looked, what it means. Also, how has the rotation looked? What are the strong points and what are the weak points? Should the O’s send someone to the pen, go to a six man rotation, or fire one of their starters into the sun (looking at you Wade Miley)?
Ever thought “oof, this one hurt” after an Orioles loss? We ask which ones stick in your craw, as far as terrible Orioles losses are concerned. Jake and Scott both identify painful losses in 2013, and Scott wonders if you remember who is family.

Fantasy Boss
OK, so this was technically a push, but Scott clicked on a Wild Card (Miley got pulled after four outs), which he’ll get credit for next week. That brings the contest to 11-9-1, but things are getting tight.
This week’s category is RBI – Scott went with Manny Machado, and Jake went with Chris Davis.
The new Wild Card is next starter with fewer than two walks. Scott selected Ubaldo Jimenez and Jake went with Kevin Gausman.
Here’s a look at the Wild Cards in play:
Next Oriole to hit a HR 450+ ft
Scott: Trumbo
Jake: Schoop
Next Oriole with an 8IP start
Scott: Bundy
Jake: Tillman
Next Oriole with a multi home run game.
Scott: Machado
Jake: Trumbo

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
