Leading Off
THEY DID IT!!! Despite how things looked and felt in the middle of September, the Orioles are one of the five best teams in the AL, and have advanced to the one-game, loser-goes-home-and-weeps Wild Card game.
After what seems like a solid week of paceball games, the Orioles will be put to the test in the ultimate nail-biter, against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Drink of the Week has gone from drowning our sorrows to celebrating wins. Let us know what you’re up to via Twitter (@birdseyeviewbal), or on Untapped (jakee4025 and magn8606).
This Medical Wing
You know… things… actually look OK. The only maladies in Birdland right now are the fans who are nervously awaiting Tuesday’s game. Dr. Magness prescribes juniper. Trust him – he stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
This Week on the Twitters

If I recall correctly, the Orioles haven't had a meaningful Game 162 since 1982.

Orioles, Jays, and Loonies
Be honest: how many of you were certain that the Orioles’ season was over after the Red Sox sweep? Things looked pretty dire. But despite this, the Orioles scratched and clawed their way into the playoffs, and will face the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2016 AL Wild Card Game at (House of Horrors) Rogers Center.
To preview the game (series?), we invited friend of the program Greg Wisnewski, of BP Toronto. Greg is our go-to source for all things Canadian, and Blue Jays specifically. Seriously, if you want great baseball analysis, with a sense of humor, check out Greg (@coolhead2010) and the other great guys at BP Toronto (@BPToronto).
OK, enough being nice. We love Greg, but hope his team loses.
We talk the matchup, how the Blue Jays look, and we get a lesson on Canadian currency.
Wild Predictions
As with all other things, we are really good with predictions. Remember when we picked the Orioles to win 79 wins this season? Well, we’re putting our powers of perception to the test again, and making a series of Wild Predictions.
Outside of our lack of insight and baseless opinion, we’d love to hear what you think. Send us your Wild Predictions via Twitter with #WildOs.
Fantasy Boss
With that, Jake will raise another banner, and Fantasy Boss will ride off into the sunset. Thanks for playing along, Birdland. We’ll have something new for you next season.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.
Tweet us your selections @birdseyeviewbal with #OsGood, #OsBad, and #OsUgly.
Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
