Leading Off
It’s been more than a week since the Orioles won a game, and the Yankees were in town to celebrate their dominance on Sunday Night Baseball. Ain’t baseball great?
At least…
Nope. We’ve got nothing. Enjoy the games, they’ll be over soon.

I did not know we had someone in the system named Jack Zoellner, if I’m being honest

Expanded Rosters
Buck Showalter often notes that the baseball season is actually comprised of four separate seasons: Spring Training, the Regular Season, September Baseball, and the Playoffs. September, with expanded rosters, is significantly different than the rest of the season. Of course, it won’t be significantly different for the Orioles, who are going to lose games at an alarming pace.
We discussed the expanded rosters in three tiers:
Tier I: Guys we want to see.
Tier II: Guys we could go either way about.
Tier III: Guys we simply don’t care about.
There are some notable players we’re excited about. There are some not-so-notable players who we are forcing ourselves to care about. Don’t be surprised if we assign them all personalities, just to ensure that there will be something to entertain us in September.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
