Leading Off
As May draws to a close, we check in on the progress of an Orioles team that is… not progressing very far. Another week is in the books, and this one can be placed firmly in the horror section.

I've got to say, based on my 3 hours of experience in rooting for the Orioles, that being an Orioles fan is pretty tough.

Augmented Reality
The Orioles and PNC have teamed up to participate in MLB’s effort to bring agumented reality to the ballpark experience. The MLB Ballpark app will now provide an interactive augmented reality experience at Legends Park.
If you’re reading the words “augmented reality” and have no idea what we’re talking about, think MovPokemon Go. Have no idea what Pokemon Go is? Go ask your cool nieces and nephews.
We’re very much in favor of this move, but it got us thinking about what other augmented reality opportunities might be available to the Orioles.
Move the Party
How do we move the party from the suites to the ballpark? Scott leads us on a thought experiment on how the Orioles could use one of the greatest assets they have – Camden Yards – to bring in new business, attract fans, and connect with the City to a greater degree.
We’re not talking about putting a tarp over the seat in the upper deck (we’re looking at you, Oakland). We’re talking about finding more spaces like the Center Field Rooftop Bar, and making it work. The real question is more a chicken/egg one: do you make changes knowing there are fewer than 10K in the ballpark most nights, or do you make changes hoping to draw better crowds?
Fantasy Boss
Scott takes a commanding 3-2-1 lead, by correctly predicting that Trey Mancini would out-wOBA Chris Davis. For some reason, Scott had it in his head that Jake had picked Renato Nunez (who raaaaaked this week). So he won big, but still sweat it out.
This week, Jake has selected a simple category: extra base hits (XBH).
Scott’s pick: Jonathan Villar
Jake’s Pick: Renato Nunez
Who will own it?
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
