Leading Off
The Orioles had a ridiculously fun week, and got an extra special prescription from Dr. Poo Poo. We hope that you enjoyed a stretch of good baseball, because we’re not convinced that we’ll see it again this season. Yaaay?

Here is what is happening in the world of Orioles Baseball, in 280 characters, or fewer:
somebody on Facebook is already selling Adley Rutschman autographs for up to $175. this is why players stop signing for fans: their agents and autograph companies tell them their signature is worth money so then they only do sessions that start at $100

Hey @MLB,
Start telling people how incredible your product is instead of telling people the games are too long.
MIN/NYY will be one of the best sporting events this year and know what the best part is?
Got to watch 5 hours of it. Incredible.

#DongsAfterDark
West Coast baseball means one thing: Jake is going to stay up way too late watching the Orioles. There was no better example than Thursday’s 16-inning affair in which the Orioles mare a little history, and those few crazies who stayed up were treated to Weird Baseball.
But if West Coast baseball means two things, it’s this: that we get to whip out our favorite social media hashtag #DongsAfterDark. We rattle off a few synopses, and invite you to send us your own (keep it SFW) @birdseyeviewbal.
From Worst to Bad
The Orioles had a good week, and they are not numerically the worst team in baseball. So… yay? They’re not fixed, though. They’ve gone from Worst to Bad. This means that there are a couple of things to enjoy in the short term (Anthony Santander, anyone?), but that we should also get a reality check: this is still a bad team. Bad.
There is this, though: the possibility that they might miss out on the first overall draft pick does not mean that they’re going to lose out on a great draft pick. Elias and Company will make the most of what they get. We don’t expect to see too many Matuszes.
Fantasy Boss
Scott is making this a real game, winning again, and bringing the score back to 7-5-1.
Since he chose strikeouts in last week’s contest, Jake had little choice but to pick walks. Which offensive player will rack up more walks? Scott selected Reynato Nunez, and encouraged Jake to take Dr. Poo Poo. However, Jake went with Jonathan Villar, because… reasons?
It’s a real barn-burner this week.
Who will own it?
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
