Leading Off
Hey, this is cool! The Orioles are making us wonder when (if?) they’ll win again, and that’s… so fun. Just so, so fun. Baltimore Baseball is fun.
Fun.

This Week on the Twitters
Around the Bases
First Base: Five Alive
After winning just five games in May, the Orioles started the month of June 4-1. And then they went back into free-fall. There is no reason to believe that the Orioles’ month of June will be as bad as their May. The only question is whether they will get regular beat or “run out of the gym” beat by the competition.
Second Base: Starting Woe-tation
John Means may be the highlight of the Orioles rotation, even when on the IL. Buckle up, because we talk about Matt Harvey. We also discuss whether Jorge Lopez is a starter or Tommy Hunter.
Third Base: Come on baby Light My Fire
If you feel let down by the Orioles, you can always find solace in the fact that the Bowie Baysox are fun, and represent the Orioles’ future. We discuss Grayson Rodriquez and bringing the gas in AA.
Home Plate: Housing issues
Not all AA stories are good. We also discuss the tweets that emerged this week, claiming that Baysox players are not making a living wage. While not delving into Baltimorons territory, we’re clearly not happy that we have to keep talking about how poorly a $10B industry treats the pipeline of players it will cash in on in the future. And worse, it’s only this way because we, as fans, have decided to be OK with it.
Fantasy Boss
Jake wins this week’s Fantasy Boss. The category was RBI. Jake went with Trey Mancini (3) and Scott went with Ryan Mountcastle (2). Of course, both were out RBI’d by the likes of Pat Valaika and Austin Wynns.
That takes the the score to 5-3 in Jake’s favor, and Jake is back on the spot to select a category.
This week, the category is an over/under on wins – the line is 1.5 games.
Scott picked the under.
Jake was left with the over (because you can’t pick negative integers).
Who will own it?
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
