Predictions

We have to be honest: the Orioles were not much fun to watch this week. And rather break down the many bullpen failings, and painful beatdowns, we’re going to choose to stop looking back, and start looking ahead.

We ignore the painful present and look to the future by turning our lack of insight and baseless opinion into a lack of foresight and baseless claims.

Age of Aquarius

After a segment full of predictions, listeners may wonder how we are so effortlessly able to tell of future comings. The answer is simple: here at Bird’s Eye View, we look to the stars.

Jake and Scott assign astrological significance to important figures in Orioles history, and share how these figures impact the future of our beloved team.

Fantasy Boss

Jake takes this week’s Fantasy Boss. The category was BB%, and Matt Taylor chose Cedric Mullins on Scott’s behalf. Mullins had a 3.7 BB% and Jake’s pick, Ramon Urias, had a 6.3 %.

That brings the Fantasy Boss score to 8-6. And Scott is back on the hot seat to pick this week’s category.

This week, the category is dongs. It’s a dongfest. Jake went with Cedric Mullins (on to 30/30!) and Scott went with Trey Mancini.

Who will own it?

Blowing the Save

Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
