Leading Off
After a week off, we return to the mics to find the Orioles much where they were before: still terrible, and still very much in our hearts. We’re gluttons for punishment.

This Week on the Twitters
Losing Streak
First Base: The Roster
We discuss the impacts of the “new” 28-man roster rule for September, and discuss recent moves that the Orioles have made to take advantage of the extra spots on the bench.
Second Base: The Hype
We haven’t had the opportunity to talk at length about Jahmai Jones. Now that he’s here (after weeks of a vocal portion of the Orioles fan base clamoring for him…), what have we seen?
Third Base: How Bad Do You Want It?
Will you be bummed if the Orioles miss out on the #1 draft pick? We talk about how the Orioles being bad makes us feel. Then we talk about how the Orioles being bad-but-not-quite-bad-enough might make us feel.
Home Plate: Misuse of #TheBrianRobertsWatch music
Scott abuses the privilege to give us an “important” update on a notable former Oriole.
Fantasy Boss
THINGS ARE GETTING VERY INTERESTING IN FANTASY BOSS. Scott won this week, having correctly predicted that Anthony Santander would have fewer strikeouts than Ramon Urias. In classic BEV FB fashion, the two were separated by a single strikeout (5-4).
This ties the contest at 8-8, and as we run out of season, it’s up to Jake to pick a new category. So of course, he picked something dumb. This week’s category is which Orioles starter will log the most innings.
Scott selected Chris Ellis and Jake went with Keegan Akin.
Who will own it?
Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
