Leading Off
After a big series win over the Yankees, the Orioles look forward to a somewhat easier month of May. And we here at Bird’s Eye View get super, super petty.

This Week on the Socials
X of Y
We made a LOT of jokes at the Yankees’ expense when they whined about how many ballparks a batted ball would/wouldn’t be a homer. This made us wonder “would it dong” about a number of other topics in MLB. Specifically, for how many other teams would this thing be a big deal?
Don’t worry, this podcast is not funny in 30 out of 30 markets.
Potpourri
If we were true to our format, we would have gone around the bases, and selected four topics that weren’t quite big enough for their own segment. Instead, we went the potpourri route – selecting the things we wanted to talk about until we didn’t want to talk about them any more.
- Thursday’s Yankees game
- Kyle Bradish’s return
- Ryan McKenna’s, too (no, not really)
- John Means
- It’s gonna be May (schedule)
- Albert Suerez
- Cionel Perez
Fantasy Boss
Scott won AGAIN, and now it is all tied up at 2. Jake went the ridiculous route, asking – straight up – if there would be a rain delay in the two-game Washington series next week. Scott went with no, whereas Jake is left with the filibuster.

Blowing the Save
Most podcasts try to end on a high note â the perfect coda to a quality program. Thatâs just not our style. Each week, weâll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didnât quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. Itâs our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
