This Week on the Socials

I just think it would be nice if the Orioles were fun to watch more than once or twice a week.

Man, #Orioles Bluesky is a lot more miserable than I would have expected. every day the discourse is just a huge bummer

#orioles final offer to Corbin Burnes was 4 years, $180 million per a source.

I hope whomever has the replay in the Orioles-Diamondbacks game is telling the on field umpires that they are abysmal at their jobs and should be ashamed.

Error: Segment Not Found

We tried to pull an Around the Bases segment up, but we got a 404: Episode Not Found error.

Instead, we talk about the Current Troubles, and ask ourselves how long it might last, and whether it really matters anyway.

This isn’t just cope. We’d admit if it was just cope.

The season’s first nine games were full of a lot of non-competitive baseball on a number of fronts. The starting pitching wasn’t pitching, the hitting wasn’t hitting, and the bats weren’t even torpedoes. Like… what are we even doing?

Fantasy Boss

Fantasy Boss is tied up at 1-1, as Scott correctly predicted that Ryan Mountcastle would out BABIP Jake’s pick, Cedric Mullins. It is interesting, though, that both players were #1 and #2 on the team in the category this week.

Jake picked the category of DONGS as palate cleanser this week. Scott chose Ryan Mountcastle and Jake went with Tyler O’Neill.

Who will own it?

Blowing the Save

Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
