This Week on the Socials
Around the Bases

First Base: Oh no, we suck again!
Look, everything sucks right now. It’s not fun to watch Orioles Baseball. It’s not fun to listen to Orioles Baseball. It is not fun to attend Orioles Baseball.
And there is no real hope in sight. There is nothing significantly different about this team than there was two weeks ago when we said “man this is awful, but we won’t really be in trouble until June.”
This offense is not clicking. The pitching is not pitching. It’s just… oof.
Second Base: The Drubbing
The Orioles got beat 24-2, and it was… not fun to watch. We highly doubt that this is rock bottom for the Orioles 2025 season, but it was pretty ugly. That being the case… what did we see?
Third Base: Throwing, not Pitching
Let’s start with the good news: Tomoyuki Sugano has looked pretty good the last two starts, including an absolute gem (after it wasn’t). If he keeps anything like this up, he may be exactly what the Orioles were hoping they’d get: a serviceable MLB starter.
The rest are nowhere near that.
Home Plate: Extend Ced! (?)
We debate the good, the bad, and the ugly of the prospect of re-signing Cedric Mullins. In a season in which nothing is going right, why would we hope to dream that a fan favorite would stay an Oriole for the rest of his career?
And… should we really want that?
Fantasy Boss

It’s an absolute push! The guys tied, and the score remains 1-1. Scott’s pick (Mountcastle) and Jake’s pick (O’Neill) tied for a single Dong in the past two weeks.
We’re going to stick with dongs, but we’re going to add a player each. Someone has to hit some home runs this week, and not just the Reds. Jake picked Adley Rutschman and Ramon Laureano. Scott went with Heston Kjerstad and Jordan Westburg.
Who will own it?
Blowing the Save

Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
