Everybody Sucks

Well, the Orioles are not a good team. They’re very not a good team. Orioles fans have very little to look forward to in 2018 as far as the standings are concerned, so we are left to enjoy whatever else baseball offers.

And it offers a lot. In this lost season, I am looking forward to sharing games with friends and family at Camden Yards. I am looking forward to watching Manny Machado continue to develop into a superstar in what could be the last year I get to watch him 162 times. I am looking forward to seeing what pieces the Orioles have that might lead to a shorter rebuild than the one I fear is coming.

And frankly, I’m left to look forward to a little gallows humor. If the Orioles are going to be the laughing stock of baseball, we might as well laugh along, in good humor.

And with that, we bring you Everybody Sucks.

The thing is that everybody does suck. At the same time.

So lean into it, Orioles fans. And if I might be so bold: have a little fun along the way.
